COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CDOT) + AMÉLIE CO.
Teens are overrepresented in car crash fatalities even though seat belts reduce the risk of death in a crash. To get teens to buckle up without lecturing them, we developed a campaign that spoke to them where they are most: on their phones.
However, we had no media buy and a very small budget. To get around this, we sent mysterious posters featuring a Snapcode to high schools across Colorado. Thousands of curious teens added our account, allowing us to have direct conversations with them about seat belt safety.
